Hair Stylist Personal Branding Session
Allison Beebe is a self-proclaimed “hair alchemist”! (That’s fancy talk for being an amazing hair colorist) She reached out to me because she wanted a full branding photoshoot while she colored a client’s hair so that could get some in-action photos, headshots, close-up process shots, and general brand photos.
Allison started off consulting with her client and starting the bleaching process .During that time I was given full creative freedom to capture small moments and little details. In this photo, I took Allison’s tools of the trade and business card to create some unique flat lay images. I was thinking that she could use these for profile pics or website photos. I loved being able to create these little salon vignettes.

These were the colors Allison was using with her client that day. So vibrant!
After I took detailed photos, I started taking photos of Allison at work directly with her client. I set out to capture candid, unposed action shots and capture the step-by-step process of hair coloring.
While the client’s hair color was processing I took the opportunity to snap some individual headshots of Allison.

By the time the session was ending the sun was setting. I grabbed this candid photo through the window. So cool!
The After
It was amazing to get the Laurelhurst Theater in the background through the salon window.
Doing a salon branding shoot was SO.MUCH.FUN! I was able to try out a bunch of new, creative techniques and give Allison a full gallery of photos that she can use throughout her business.
